Our Story

Raised near Lubbock, Texas, Cliff Mahaffey is an avid hunter, outdoorsman, golfer, and family man.

Cliff is licensed by the State of Texas in Orthotics/Prosthetics, certified by the American Board of Orthotic & Prosthetic Certification Board, and by the Board for Orthotic and Prosthetic Certification. Cliff has been in this field since 1987. In 1990, he moved to Amarillo to manage Amarillo Brace and Limb. After eight years, he opened Mahaffey O&P. His passion lies in the challenge of meeting the needs of even the most difficult of cases. He continually seeks out the most current and innovative techniques to assist patients with their recovery and independence. With vast experience working with pediatric and geriatric patients, Cliff truly enjoys helping his patients in bettering their quality of life.  However young or old, however great the challenge, it is his objective to bring value and quality to patient care, while promoting independence to all those seeking O&P care.

Jeff Coleman was born and raised in Borger, TX where he graduated High School in 2006. He attended Wayland Baptist University earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry. During his time at Wayland, he participated in Collegiate Track and Field where he competed in the discus and hammer throw. Since his joining of the Mahaffey Team in 2011, Jeff has since been licensed, in 2012, as a Practitioner Assistant in both Orthotics and Prosthetics. This opportunity has opened many facets of further education in multiple material types, and numerous uses of technology and orthotic/prosthetic design. With his free time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife where they both enjoy being outdoors and spending time with their two dogs. “The service provided by the team here at Mahaffey Orthotics and Prosthetics benefits not only our community, but each one of us impacted by either providing care or receiving care.”
